Dr. Anish Patel
Growing up in England until the age of thirteen, Dr. Anish Patel moved with his family to Texas and then settled in Florida when he was sixteen. He has been here in Florida ever since!
Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry from NOVA Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale.
Shortly after graduation, Dr. Patel started a dental practice in Jacksonville, Florida. He soon realized that he did not want to raise children in such a big city. He and his wife toured all of Florida and discovered the Emerald Coast. They found this area to be perfect for their family. They relocated here in April of 2011, and Dr. Patel plans to finish out his career here in Panama City.
Dr. Patel is able to stay on the cutting edge of new techniques and technologies by participating in hundreds of hours of continuing education every year for specific aspects of the dentistry he provides at Panama City Smiles. He has advanced training in orthodontics through a three-year continuing education program called Progressive Orthodontics. Dr. Patel has also completed advanced training in implants through various courses. He has a passion for cosmetic dentistry and keeps his education up-to-date to provide the best that cosmetic dentistry has to offer.
The most rewarding part of his job is to share in the joy of his patients when they see the results of their treatment for the first time. When he removes braces, and his patients see their straight smiles, they are so happy! Restoring implants for someone who had missing teeth is very special, too. Dr. Patel finds it exciting to watch the transformation during the process and how the patient feels after it is all done. Restoring someone’s ability to smile is very satisfying for him.
Dr. Patel believes in providing the best that dentistry has to offer in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. He is a gentle and caring dentist who never compromises in the quality of work he does. He is passionate about providing high-quality dental care that will last for years to come. He gets most excited about changing the way a person feels about their smile and themselves. He enjoys watching them go from being embarrassed to smile to feeling confident and using their smile to show their true, wonderful personality.
Dr. Patel sees dentistry as a way to help people improve their lives and the way they feel about themselves. It also provides a way to give back to the community and leave the world a better place than he found it. He loves having a career working with people. Dr. Patel strives to have a positive impact on every single person who walks through the doors, whether they go through treatment or not. He wants them to feel better about themselves and dentistry as a whole by the time they leave his office. It is as much about the experience and truly connecting with people as it is about dentistry. Dr. Patel’s goal is to leave every person better than he found them, and his team shares that same mission.
Dr. Patel has been happily married to his wife, Kamini, for more than ten years, and they have two beautiful daughters, Neeti and Suneari, ages 4 and 2. When he is not working, you might find him playing cricket and spending time with his family at the beach or in the Pier Park area. He also enjoys daddy-daughter dates with his girls, spending time outdoors, playing soccer, and visiting lots of bookstores.
Dr. Patel is looking forward to meeting you personally and helping you discover the smile you have always wanted!
