Panama City Dental Office to Offer Free Day of Dentistry
PANAMA CITY, FL — Dr. Anish Patel, a leading Panama City cosmetic dentist, is again offering one free day of dentistry for local residents who cannot afford regular dental care.
The annual event, Dentistry From The Heart, is scheduled for Nov. 17. Throughout the day, the Panama City Smiles dental team will provide a free cleaning, filling, or extraction. This is the fourth year that Dr. Patel and his team at Panama City Smiles have provided a free day of dentistry.
The goal is to provide care for local residents without dental insurance or access to regular dental care. Over the last three years, Panama City Smiles has donated $128,181 in dental services.
“We’ve always had a great response from the community and local residents for this event,” said Dr. Patel, who operates Panama City Smiles. “We’ve had patients that had never been to the dentist because they couldn’t afford it, people in between jobs that wanted to fix their problems, and patients that are in pain but can’t get treatment right away due to their insurance or cost.”
Panama City Smiles will guarantee care to the first 100 patients. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 9 a.m. (or when they have 200 registrants), and the team will begin seeing patients at 7 a.m. Panama City Smiles’ dentists, Dr. Patel and Dr. Trae Pappas, as well as Drs. Olivier Broutin, Gary Nanavati, and Eric Claussen (an oral surgeon).
“Giving back is the way we show appreciation to our community,” Dr. Patel said. “We would like to thank all of our wonderful patients and team for making this day possible every year.”
Panama City Smiles, 1022 Harrison Ave., offers general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, and orthodontics for adults and children. The practice uses the latest technology to provide quality dental care to its patients. Dr. Patel uses digital X-rays, which reduce radiation exposure, and intraoral cameras to teach patients about proper oral health techniques.
As a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Patel provides durable porcelain veneers, dental crowns, KoR whitening deep bleaching, and ClearCorrect, a system that uses clear aligners to straighten crooked teeth. ClearCorrect is virtually undetectable and can correct crooked teeth, gapped teeth, and mild bite issues.
Dr. Patel, who grew up in England, earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando and then his dental degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Patel is committed to advancing his skills in dentistry and takes more than 100 hours in continuing education every year. Following dental school, he completed a three-year program on progressive orthodontics and has extensive training in cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.
