PANAMA CITY, FL – Dr. Anish Patel, a leader in quality cosmetic dentistry, has added a new associate dentist at his growing Panama City dental practice.
Dr. Trae Pappas, a general dentist trained in all aspects of dentistry, began seeing patients full-time Aug. 17 at Panama City Smiles. With the addition of Dr. Pappas, Panama City Smiles will expand its hours of operation and offer more services to its patients.
“I think that people will be excited to know that we will soon have extended hours, including early evening appointments,” said Dr. Patel, owner of Panama City Smiles. “Between the two doctors, patients no longer have to worry about doctor availability, which allows them to have their dental concerns addressed in a timely manner.”
Dr. Pappas, a Florida native raised in Fort Walton Beach, graduated at the top of his dental school class at Louisiana State University, where he also received his undergraduate degree in biological science. He has completed continuing education courses in restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, dental implants and pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Pappas holds memberships with the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, National Dental Practice-Based Research Network and the Northwest Florida District Association.
“We are planning to build a larger facility, and with a second dentist on board, we can reach that goal a lot faster and take advantage of the larger space when it is ready,” Dr. Patel said. “The staff and patients are both excited to welcome another dentist to our practice, as it means we can deliver high-quality care to even more people in the community.”
Panama City Smiles, 1022 Harrison Ave., offers general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics for adults and children and dental implants to replace individual missing teeth or to stabilize dentures. The practice uses the latest technology to provide quality dental care to its patients. Dr. Patel uses digital X-rays, which reduce radiation exposure, and intraoral cameras to teach patients about proper oral health techniques.
As a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Patel provides durable porcelain veneers, dental crowns, KoR whitening deep bleaching and ClearCorrect, a system that uses clear aligners to straighten crooked teeth. ClearCorrect is virtually undetectable and can correct crooked teeth, gapped teeth and mild bite issues.
Dr. Patel, who grew up in England, earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando and then his dental degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Patel is committed to advancing his skills in dentistry and takes more than 100 hours in continuing education every year. Following dental school, he completed a three-year program on progressive orthodontics and has extensive training in cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.
Panama City Smiles is committed to serving the community and annually hosts Dentistry From The Heart, a program dedicated to providing free dental care to local residents who cannot afford dental care or do not have dental insurance.
