Restore Damaged Teeth With Dental Crowns
Every dental crown we place is custom-made to restore a damaged tooth. We offer several different materials, including all-porcelain dental crowns that will blend in seamlessly with your smile. The process requires advanced training but is easy to understand:
- Preparation: We will perform an examination and then remove a small amount of your natural tooth’s enamel to make room for the crown.
- Fabrication: Dr. Patel will make an impression of your teeth and send the mold to a lab to manufacture your crown to our exact specifications. We’ll place a temporary crown to protect your tooth.
- Placement: After two to three weeks, we will remove your temporary and permanently place your custom-made crown.
We also offer partial dental crowns, called inlays and onlays, that protect the biting surface and sides of your teeth without completely capping it.
Replace Missing Teeth With Dental Bridges
It is very important to replace missing teeth for many reasons. A dental bridge is one way to fill the space left by a missing tooth. Typically, a bridge consists of two crowns attached to a replacement tooth (essentially another crown, but solid).
Dr. Patel will fit your teeth on either side of the gap with dental crowns that support the replacement tooth. He will then restore your smile by anchoring the dental bridge in place.
With good oral hygiene and proper care as directed by restorative dentist Dr. Patel, your dental crowns and bridges can last as long as 15 years.
